I think this is a Garter Snake but I didn't see any red on it and I am definitely not a herpetologist.


Here is a view from the hill above the fire station/nature center.

And here is the lovely group looking at the creek below the San Juan Loop trail that we hiked. I believe we were trying to identify the insects quickly moving above the surface of the creek.
